Events & Fundraising
All members of the Consortium are deeply aware that the money invested in our research comes from charity donations.
Over the years many of us have taken part in a wide range of events to help raise money for the CF Trust. Here are just a few examples.
08 May 2011: Michelle P took part in the 2011 Sheffield half Marathon. Michelle raised sponsorship money totalling £358.42 which she donated to three charites: the CF Trust, Cancer Research UK and Children of the Andes.

08 May 2011: Dr Stephen Hyde took part in the CF Trust's Ashridge 10K Forest Walk in aid of CF Week 2011.
17 April 2011: Andy took part in the 2011 London Marathon and raised £854.73 for the CF Trust. Andy finished the race in an impressive time of 3:13:38 (2123rd position).
26 November 2010: Mary, Stephanie, Steve, Ian, Anna and Bex took part in the Horspath quiz in Aid of the CF Trust. Despite scoring a maximum 20/20 on the Movie Quotes round, the team finished 7th out of 12 teams.

10 October 2010: Michelle M took part in the 2010 Royal Parks Half Marathon, London. Michelle raised £512.20 for the CF Trust.

09 May 2010: Stephanie, Ian, Reto and Karen took part in the Blenheim 7K race.

01 May 2010: Stephanie organised a concert in aid of the CF Trust (aided by other group members) and raised over £500.

Friday 20 November 2009: Several members of the group attended a quiz night at Horspath Village Hall on Friday 20 November in aid of the CF Trust. In the quiz the team fared poorly finishing 7th out of 12 but they cleaned up in the raffle winning too many items to be polite.
July 2009 : David took part in the CF Trust Charity Freefallat Strathallan, a 13000ft skydive. David raised £595 for the CF Trust.

November 2008: Anna (right) and Deborah joined over 30 other CF Trust Volunteers for the annual Hadrian's Wall Challenge, a 2-day trek along the most complete section of Hadrian's Wall. Between the two of them they raised over £ 1500.00 for the CF Trust.
May 2005: David, Eilidh, Gerry, Alison and Mike did the
CF Trust Sponsored Cycle from Callander (37 miles) and raised £800.
