EIT Health Transition Fellowship for Consortium Student

EIT_Health_Logo.jpgConsortium PhD Student and Clarendon Fund ScholarJean-Francois Gélinas (Keble College, Oxford) has secured an EIT Health Transition Fellowship.

The scheme focuses on providing funding to close the gap between completion of a doctoral thesis and obtaining seed funding for innovative idea based on DPhil research.

Jean-Francois, a DPhil student with Prof Deborah Gill and Prof Steve Hyde in Oxford, has secured a Gold Award worth €27,500 to further his research on enhancing lentiviral vector production for gene therapy.

He has also been invited to Barcelona to pitch his innovation to EIT Health partners. JF recently submited his D.Phil thesis and will defend his work later this month in his viva.
